The Association of German Tool and Moldmakers, VDWF, received a prize in the “Reform and Management” category of the “Association of the year” award by the German Society for Association Management (DGVM).
The German Association of Tool and Mould Makers‘ (VDWF) networking event for young entrepreneurs took around 40 mouldmakers on a three-day trip around Lake Constance in October 2017 to visit OEMs and innovative mould shops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Even after 25 years of existence, its fair to say that the VDWF, the German Association of German Tool and Mould-Makers, is not a very old association. But since its start in 1992, it has achieved a lot while representing the interests of its member companies.
The tension increases: Moulding Expo 2017 is almost here. Two years have elapsed in which companies had time to develop new products and innovations. In only a few weeks, the halls in Stuttgart will open their doors to a trade fair "by the industry for the industry".
Germany - This biannual fair is said to be expanding with improved quality including international associations as exhibitors and delegation visitors being at the show in Stuttgart, the organisers says.
Europe - Europe’s tool and mould makers are facing fierce competition caused by increasing cost pressures and globalisation; which, on the other hand, also offers opportunities to tap into new markets and embrace new technologies. Let’s see what 2017 holds for the industry.
