Its takeover of Temp-Flex, a manufacturer of microminiature wires, cables and continuous inductor coils made from medical-grade base metals and biomedical coatings, provides Molex with support in its aim to develop technologies that ensure efficiency, reliability and flexibility with optimum patient care in mind.

As director of the new division, Wayne Schockloss heads a team that has already introduced multiple products in the MediSpec portfolio to the market. These were aimed specifically at medical equipment applications, such as diagnostic imaging systems, therapeutic devices and surgical systems, patient-monitoring systems, and IT applications in healthcare.

“Thanks to the linking of our innovative connection solutions with the longstanding experience of Temp-Flex in developing complex cable assemblies, Molex will be able in a unique way to integrate application-specific and standard electronics solutions into the next generation of medical devices,” stated Shockloss.
