Absolute-Pressure Sensor Module Miniature sensors precisely measure absolute pressure and temperature
Ultra-miniaturized MS5611 24-bit pressure sensor modules from MEAS Switzerland S.A., available in Germany through the distributor Amsys, make possible precision measurement of absolute pressure and temperature in such medical technology applications as mobile patient monitoring.

Depending on the oversampling ratio, these modules can achieve a pressure measurement dispersion of 0.012 mbar. Total error, including temperature error in the –20° to 85°C range, is a maximum of ±2.5 mbar ± 0.25% FS. Dispersion of the temperature signal is less than 0.01°C, and the maximum temperature error is 0.8°C. The MS5611 sensor module is distinguished by its very low standby power consumption of 0.9 μA at an OSR (oversampling ration) of 256.
An optimal balance between repeat rate and average power consumption can be individually attained by means of the application software. This pressure sensor module comes in a QFN housing measuring 5.0 x 3.0 x 1.0 mm and measures pressures between 10 and 1,200 mbar, absolute, in the temperature range of –40° to 85°C.
