Dear readers,
 The new Swiss specialist trade show World Medtech Forum Lucerne will debut in September, and indeed in partnership with the West Switzerland suppliers trade show Medisiams. At the Fraunhofer ILT in Aachen, a team is on the lookout for a new artificial-tissue culturing method, while Philipp Wittmann is the new manager of the healthcare cluster in Austria, and a curriculum in industrial materials engineering is about to be launched at the Furtwangen University campus in Tuttlingen. Also, Medtec France in April will be migrating from Besançon to Lyon. It’s remarkable how mobile the industry currently is!

The Medisiams trade show for West Switzerland suppliers will take place under the same roof as the World Medtech Forum Lucerne (WMTF) for the first time this year. This is the result of a decision made by Medical Cluster, Medtech Switzerland, Siams S.A. and Messe Luzern AG. The events take place in Lucerne September 25–27, 2012. more »

With the winter semester of 2012/2013, the Tuttlingen campus of Furtwangen University launches a new course of study to be offered each year during that semester, which begins in October.
