Swiss Workshop Event Offers Software Regulatory Guidance

Software providers presented their solutions for the medical technology industry in workshops at Swiss event promoted by Immedis GmbH.
Switzerland’s medical cluster Inmedis GmbH and Majesty Software GmbH recently invited visitors to a workshop event at the Franz Gertsch Museum in Bugdorf. Titled “Modern Tools for Meeting Regulatory Requirements—Conformity Made Easy,” the meeting asked what art and regulatory requirements in medical technology have in common.
This question was unusual only at first hearing. Working from the hypothesis that regulatory requirements in operational practice are sometimes not only design-related, but also artistic, challenges, five software and IT companies presented their solutions for medical technology to workshop attendees.
Unstructured data files in Excel or Word, unmanageable isolated solutions, costly enterprise resource planning systems not up to quality requirements—any of these can lead, in practice, to additional complexity, errors and unnecessary disputes with auditors and approving bodies. Alternatives to these faulty practices were demonstrated during the various workshops by software providers Bayoonet AG, Majesty Software GmbH, Aligned AG, Babtec GmbH and Inmedis GmbH. With their industry-specific offerings, all five companies focus on practice-oriented software and services for the medical technology industry.
