Update of BVMed’s Medical Device Law Handbook Issued

Medizinprodukterecht (Medical Device Law), the reference book published by BVMed, has been issued in an updated new edition reflecting the status of regulations as of September 2010. A softcover volume of 520 pages, it presents statutory texts having relevance for German medical device manufacturers today.

The new edition takes account of legislative changes promulgated in May and July 2010. Examples include the new regulation concerning clinical trials of medical devices and the modifications that have been made to the Medical Device Law (MPG) and numerous other regulations.

Medizinprodukterecht contains the texts of European directives and relevant German statutory texts regarding aspects of medical devices, along with an introduction to the legal background. Depending on order quantity, the volume costs between €11.40 (for a single copy) and €7.10 (for orders of 50 copies or more), plus shipping costs and VAT. It can be ordered from BVMed.
