Piezo Technology for Fine Positioning

The piezo actuators are mechanically integrated into solid body joints that translate the piezo’s displacement into larger travel ranges as great as 1 mm.

Dispensers, valves for microdosing, pumps used in medical technology and biotechnology, and power generation for imprinting procedures are examples of equipment applications in which force or power has to be finely adjusted. Physik Instrumente (PI) offers numerous lever-type actuators in its PiezoMove series to serve this purpose.

PiezoMove actuators, which employ piezo pressure technology, are mechanically integrated into solid body joints that translate the piezo’s displacement into larger travel ranges as great as 1 mm. In addition, the joints optimize guidance precision; no tipping need be feared. Because the lever actuators are very small, they are easy to install in OEM equipment.
