Sterilizable packaging

Automated Packaging Systems (APS). Medical pouches featuring the sterile barrier system of APS are on display at Medtec. Offered for the machine-supported packaging of small medical products at rates to 80 pouches per minute, these pouches are designed to replace the costly manual packaging frequently practiced. They consist of a combination of medical paper and PE film and allow for sterilization of the packaged product by means of gas, formaldehyde or radiation. Using APS’s HD packaging machine, also on show in Stuttgart, packagers can fill the pouches semi- or fully automatically and seal them thermally.
