Trumpf Expands Group Executive Management

The Trumpf Group gains an additional CEO in the person of industrial engineer Dr. Lars Grünert.

The Trumpf Group is expanding its executive management. Dr. Lars Grünert, 41, has been appointed as additional CEO of Trumpf GmbH + Co. KG—the Trumpf Group’s management holding—effective from January 1, 2010. Trumpf is a high-technology group that focuses on manufacturing and medical technology.

Grünert’s range of tasks will comprise commercial management of the laser technology and electronics division, the central fields of information technology and processes, and organizational development. In addition, within the group executive management, he will be responsible for Trumpf’s activities in the North American market.

The latest appointment brings to seven the number of members of the executive management team at the family-run company that is chaired by Dr. Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller.

Dr. Lars Grünert is an industrial engineer. Prior to his appointment to the Trumpf management holding, he had been commercial director of the subsidiary Trump Laser GmbH + Co. KG in Schramberg and chief financial officer of SPI Lasers in Southampton, UK.
