25th IKV Colloquium in Aachen on Plastics Technology

Exhibitors from the plastics industry, along with their suppliers and service providers, will present their products, methods and services at a specialist exhibition accompanying the IKV plastics technology colloquium in Aachen March 3–4, 2010.

The 25th colloquium of the IKV Institute for Plastics Processing of the RWTH Aachen will be held in Aachen’s Eurogress March 3 and 4, 2010. Plastics industry experts from around the world will gather for the event, which is called “Plastics Industry—Looking Ahead” and entails more than 40 largely scientific lectures.

The colloquium host, Prof. Walter Michaeli, and his scientific colleagues as speakers, are set to highlight the degree of innovation potential promised by various research areas within the IKV. The institute’s research spectrum covers the fields of injection moulding, extrusion, rubber technology, moulded-part design and material engineering, fibre-reinforced plastics, and polyurethane rubber. Industry experts acting as moderators will deliver an introductory statement of the industry’s point of view on every topical focus addressed by the speakers.

Additionally, current cross-sector topics will be examined by industry speakers in four workshops. These workshops will deal with medical technology, management methods, benefits of damage analysis, and the future of vehicle tires. The lectures, discussions and workshops will be delivered in German and simultaneously interpreted in English.

Exhibitors from the plastics industry, along with their suppliers and service providers, will present their products, methods and services at an accompanying specialist exhibition.
